- MultiService Access Points (MAPs)
As the first line of the ProCurve defense-in-depth security solution, MAPs safeguard confidential network traffic by enforcing policies at the network perimeter. Robust client authentication, data encryption, filtering and VLAN tagging are applied on a per-user basis. That ensures complete integrity for all traffic that traverses the LAN infrastructure. In addition, dual- and tri-radio MAPs with dedicated RF sensors blanket the wireless environment, automatically identifying and blocking wireless vulnerabilities – such as rogue APs, attachments to neighboring network and AP misconfigurations – without compromising network performance.
